Rihanna fans snap up tickets as anticipation builds for Flash Entertainment’s showpiece New Year’s Eve event in Abu Dhabi

Flash Entertainment today announced that tickets for international superstar Rihanna’s Middle Eastern debut are selling fast ahead of her New Year’s Eve concert on the lawns of Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi-based live events consultancy, who have brought some of the world’s top stars to the capital, are encouraging fans to purchase now to be a part of the region’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration.
Not only will Rihanna be performing, but ticket holders will also be able to enjoy La Rumba, a fantastic line-up of regional and international DJs headlined by hip-hop supreme DJ Green Lantern who will take party-goers into the early hours of the morning.
John Lickrish, Managing Director of Flash Entertainment, said: “The response from the public has been fantastic since we announced Rihanna would be performing in Abu Dhabi and there is no doubt it’s going to be an unforgettable way to see in 2010 and the beginning of a new decade.”
“There are still tickets available but they are selling fast and we are expecting even greater demand this week heading into the event. Tickets are well priced for one of the biggest stars in the world right now so we encourage fans to buy now to avoid any last minute disappointment.”
Buying tickets has been made even easier for everyone, with outlets now available at Marina Mall, Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi and Virgin Megastores outlets across the region.
Along with the Rihanna concert, Flash Entertainment is also behind the award-winning Capitala World Tennis Championship, the Middle East’s showpiece tennis event which runs from December 31st to January 2nd, and once again has attracted the world’s top players, including Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
With tickets available for the Upper Tier at just AED 65 for the opening day of the tournament (December 31st), people have the opportunity to enjoy an action-packed day out in Abu Dhabi including the tennis from 3pm onwards followed by Rihanna live in concert in the evening.
“What a great day out and people can do it all for less than AED 500 if they purchase the last available Upper Tier tickets to the tennis and the Coral Package to Rihanna,” added Mr. Lickrish.

Tickets for day one of the Capitala World Tennis Championship, which takes place from 31 December, 2009 – 2 January, 2010 at the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex, are priced at just AED 65. They can be purchased through www.boxofficeme.com or through selected Spinney’s outlets.
Opening times
Doors open at 8pm and close late. La Rumba opens at midnight. Rihanna live in concert and the “La Rumba” party will both take place on the lawns of Emirates Palace.
