Community Development Authority signs MoU with Dubai Statistics Center to exchange data

The Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Statistics Center (DSC), to strengthen cooperation and exchange data and statistical evaluations. The MoU is part of joint efforts to strengthen community development in Dubai through the use of proper statistics that gives a thorough overview of the various aspects of the society.
As per the MoU, DSC will provide CDA with all the technical support in issuing reports, research and statistical information. This will assist CDA in implementing its strategy aimed at driving Dubai’s community development.
The MoU was signed by H.E. Mr Khalid Al Kamda, Director General of the CDA, and H.E. Mr Arif Obeid Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Dubai Statistics Center, at a special ceremony held, recently, at CDA’s headquarters.
Mr Khalid Al Kamda said: “The MoU aims at strengthening partnership with Dubai Statistics Centre, the official organisation mandated with identifying social trends using scientific statistical tools. The collaboration is line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to strengthen coordination among government organizations to drive greater efficiency of operations .”
Al Muhairi added: “DSC places high importance on identifying and providing statistical indicators of the society. CDA works towards community development and our agreement will provide them with timely and adequate data that will help formulate the right strategies.”
Community Development Authority (CDA)
The CDA is a government entity mandated with enhancing the social development in Dubai to achieve the Dubai strategic plan 2015 which was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on February 2007.
The CDA will work towards promoting and raising the social standards in Dubai, and increasing the role of citizens in the community by cooperating with concerned entities in order to achieve the goals of the development sector and to develop the basic structure necessary for this.
The CDA will work on setting up the necessary policies and standards pertaining to social services providers based on its five strategic goals including promotion of national identity, social protection, social inclusion, social empowerment, and social cohesion in Dubai.
